The Hudson softball team dropped to 2-4 overall and 2-2 in the Suburban League National Conference after losing to Brecksville-Broadview Heights 5-1 April 12 on the road.
Right-hander Sara Gedeon took the loss in the pitcher's circle despite allowing no earned runs. She finished with 10 strikeouts in five innings of work.
Olivia Stefanoni had two singles and Gedeon had a double for the Lady Explorers. Lydia Riddell had a single and drove in Hudson's lone run.
The Lady Explorers fell to National Conference rival Wadsworth 9-2 April 10 on the road.
The Lady Grizzlies scored four runs apiece in the fourth and fifth innings, respectively, to take a 9-0 lead.
Wadsworth pitcher Kim Crookston took a perfect game into the seventh, but Hudson scored two runs on three hits in the top of the seventh. Crookston finished with 13 strikeouts.
Right-hander Mariah Duncan took the loss in the pitcher's circle. Hudson finished with two errors.
Cami Madar had a run-scoring double and eventually scored on Duncan's run-scoring single.
The Lady Grizzlies had 10 hits and no errors.
The Lady Explorers were scheduled to host Twinsburg April 13 before heading to Canton to play GlenOak April 14. They are set to entertain National Conference foe North Royalton April 15. Results of those games were not available at press time.
