The host Hudson baseball team improved to 6-3 overall and 3-2 in the Suburban League National Conference after posting a 2-1 victory over Stow-Munroe Falls in eight innings April 13 at The Ballpark at Hudson.
Both teams scored a run apiece in the second inning. The Explorers had four hits and one error and the Bulldogs had seven hits and three errors.
Right-hander Troy Brown got the win on the mound. He pitched all eight innings and finished with four strikeouts and two walks.
Bryce Kilfoyle had a single and a run scored for Hudson. Matt Friend also scored a run for the Explorers, who scored the winning run on an infield error with a runner on third base.
