Aurora High's varsity baseball team suffered its first defeat of the season — out of four games — on Monday, as it lost to Medina Highland 10-2 in a Suburban League American Conference contest.

Michael Sapp was the losing pitcher, giving up 8 runs (4 earned) in the first two innings, including a home run. Zach Elsawy came on and pitched 4 innings to close out the game, allowing two runs (none earned).

Three Greenmen each swatted 2 hits — Jacob and Jonathan Blue, Evan Fromwiller and J.T. Rose.

The Greenmen are scheduled to play at Highland today (April 11), but heavy rain early in the day may wipe out that game. The team also is scheduled to play at Revere on April 13.
