Students from the Hudson Archery Club, a program from Hudson Community Education and Recreation, competed at the National Archery in the Schools State Tournament, which concluded March 26 in Columbus.

Veronica McDowell turned in her all-time high score of 280/300.

More than 30 students have participated in the Hudson Archery Club throughout this past school year.

Students also have the opportunity to compete in tournaments hosted by other schools.

On Feb. 12, the club hosted its own annual tournament for the fifth straight year.

Dan Devoe is the club director.

Hudson City School students are able to take part in archery at both Hudson Middle School and Hudson High School as part of the physical education classes.

The after-school archery club gives students an additional opportunity to continue to improve their archery skills as well as compete in competitions.
