Cuyahoga Falls High School is looking for a new head football coach after Sean Flaherty recently resigned from the post.

Flaherty, 37, told the Falls News-Press in an April 6 email that he stepped down for "personal reasons."

"I am grateful for the opportunity to coach the Cuyahoga Falls football team for the last four years," stated Flaherty, who added he submitted his resignation March 20. "I enjoyed working with great kids."

Flaherty said he plans to continue working as an English teacher at Falls High.

The Black Tiger football team was 1-9 and 0-7 in the National Conference in the 2016 season. When Flaherty was hired in 2013, he took over for Mike Miller, who coached the team from 2008 through 2012.
