The Hudson wrestling team finished 22nd with 19 points at a Division I district tournament, which concluded March 4 at Hoover High School in North Canton.
Wadsworth won the 39-team competition with 193.5 points and Massillon Perry (180) and Brecksville-Broadview Heights (140) placed second and third, respectively.
Kyle Minor placed sixth at 182 pounds to lead the Explorers. The top four placers in each weight class qualified for the state competition.
Minor defeated Canton GlenOak's Christopher Szerokman 13-1 and then pinned Copley's Connor Knabe in 5 minutes, 40 seconds.
Minor lost a 2-1 decision to Massillon Jackson's Jack Marcelli and then lost a 4-1 decision to Medina's Alex Sadowsky in the fifth-place match.
Dietrich Boysel earned a 9-2 win in his first match before losing a major decision in his next match at 126 pounds.
Boysel rebounded with a 5-0 victory over Austintown-Fitch's Marco Parry before losing by pinfall to Akron Ellet's Caleb Schramm.
Austin Mullen lost his first match and then went on to a score a pin in 2:17 over Parma's Anthony Woldarek in his first consolation match at 160 pounds. Mullen lost an 8-4 decision in his next match to Fitch's Michael Ferree.
Heavyweight Jack Nord was pinned in his first match, but he won his first consolation match by disqualification.
Nord was then pinned in his next match.
Joe Graf (120), John Sweet (152) and Michael Caniglia (170) lost their first two matches.
