Twinsburg's Elder reaches state bowling tournament
Twinsburg junior bowler Tyahana Elder has rolled her way to the Division I state tournament
Elder won the individual title Feb. 27 at the Division I district tournament at Hall of Fame Lanes in Canton, earning her spot at states. Elder rolled a three-game series score of 603 (203-200-200) to finish 13 pins ahead of runner-up Mackenzie Corrin of Perry.
Elder will compete at the Division I girls state tournament March 10 at Wayne Webb's Columbus Bowl.
Meanwhile, Twinsburg's lone male district qualifier saw his season end, as sophomore Joshua Kormanec finished in 70th place in the Division I boys field. Kormanec rolled a series score of 451 (121-138-192).
