The Hudson boys bowling team finished 11th out of 14 teams at a Division I sectional tournament Feb. 19 at Skylane Bowling in Garrettsville.
The Explorers finished with a score of 3,365 pins.
Boardman won the competition with a score of 4,026 and Walsh Jesuit (3,866) and Nordonia (3,843) took second and third, respectively.
Junior Sam Karman was Hudson's lone district qualifier. He finished fifth overall with a three-game series of 606. He rolled games of 200, 212 and 194.
Karman is scheduled to bowl at a district tournament Feb. 26 at AMF Hall of Fame Lanes in Canton. Bowling is set to begin at noon.
Senior Noah Twigg rolled games of 132, 151 and 179 for the Explorers.
Also bowling for Hudson were freshmen Logan Loeffler (149 and 212) and Rhami Shiyab (159 and 133), junior Andrew Brechtelsbauer (208) and senior Joseph Horsch (138).
The Hudson girls finished 13th out of 14 teams with a score of 2,743. Warren G. Harding won the competition with a score of 3,526 and Warren Howland (3,497) and Stow-Munroe Falls (3,317) took the next two spots.
Sophomore Alyssa Germano led the Lady Explorers with scores of 127, 123 and 162. Also bowling three games for Hudson were sophomore Lauren Malaska (132, 165 and 124) and junior Celia Manders (119, 137 and 142).
Rounding out the scoring for the Lady Explorers were sophomore Danielle Maurer (115 and 158), senior Jackie Smith (125 and 112), freshman Katie Titmas (102) and sophomore Olivia Norton (103).
