Equestrian teams are champions

The Hudson Interscholastic Equestrian Team competed in January at Stonegate Farms in Coolville, home of Ohio University Equestrian Team.

High school and middle school teams competed for two days in equestrian riding events. Each level rider jumped different height fences on horses they were not familiar with. Team rankings were based on the efforts of all riders.

The high school and middle school teams were named reserve champions.

Marianna George was reserve high-point champion on the first day and high-point champion on the second day. She captured two firsts in jumping and second and first on flat.

Giuliana LaMarca placed first and fourth in jumping and fifth on flat.

Elaina Schimer captured sixth and third in jumping and second and sixth on flat.

Lewis Schimer finished sixth and sixth on flat.

Jenna Kara took fourth and second in jumping and first and third on flat.

Lily Shaughnessy placed fifth and fourth in jumping and fourth and second on flat.

Remy Stock took third and sixth on flat.

Jenna Ito finished sixth and second in jumping and second and third on flat.

Elizabeth Lindy placed first and first on flat.

Madison McMillan captured third and fourth in jumping and first and fourth on flat.
