The Tallmadge girls bowling team finished fourth with a score of 3,228 pins at the Suburban League Tournament Feb. 11 at Legend Lanes in Cuyahoga Falls.
Stow-Munroe Falls won the nine-team competition with a score of 3,658 and Copley (3,489) and Twinsburg (3,307) placed second and third, respectively.
The Blue Devil boys finished seventh with a score of 3,568. Nordonia won the 12-team event with a score of 4,213 and Stow (4,084) and Wadsworth (4,045) took the next two spots.
Emily Kiss led the Tallmadge girls with scores of 161, 236 and 233 for a 630 series. Kirsten Moore was next for the Lady Blue Devils with a 604 series (207, 204 and 193).
Tawney Beans added scores of 128, 153 and 167 and Hallie Turney bowled a 175 game.
On the boys' side, Austin Moore led the way with scores of 204, 224, and 207 for a 635 series. Robbie Wilson had the high game (248) and finished with a 611 series (171 and 192). Justin Kennell contributed scores of 175, 183 and 167 and Josh Parry bowled games of 226 and 147. Parker Braccio added a 234 game.
Both teams are scheduled to participate at a Division I sectional competition Feb. 19 at Stonehedge Entertainment in Akron. Bowling is set to begin at noon.
The district competition is scheduled to take place Feb. 26 at AMF Hall of Fame Lanes in Canton. Bowling is set to begin at noon.
