Reserve girls fall to CVCA
The Western Reserve Academy girls basketball team fell to 6-13 on the season after losing to host Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy 58-37 Feb. 14 in Stow.
The Lady Royals outscored the Pioneers 18-4 in the third quarter. CVCA led 26-24 at halftime.
"We were getting the shots we wanted, but everything was rimming out," Reserve head coach Emily Thews-Baldridge said.
The Lady Royals made a total of 10 3-pointers, including four in the fourth quarter.
Abby King made four 3-pointers to finish with a team-high 13 points for WRA.
Jade DuVal added 11 points for the Pioneers, who made 11-of-16 shots from the free throw line.
Reserve was scheduled to conclude their season against Gilmour Academy Feb. 16 in Gates Mills. Results were not available at press time.
