The Western Reserve Academy boys basketball team's six game-winning streak came to a heartbreaking end.

The Pioneers suffered a 54-53 defeat to Kiski Feb. 3 in Saltsburg, Pa.

Up 53-52, Reserve turned the ball over and then committed a foul. Kiski missed the front end of a one-and-one situation, but New Jersey Institute of Technology recruit Shawndale Jones scored the game-winning bucket on a putback with 5 seconds left.

Hudson resident Michael Pamer led WRA (10-7) with 16 points and Wajdi Ahemed and Cooper Parrott contributed 13 and 11 points, respectively, for the Pioneers.

Host Reserve earned a 76-70 victory over Cleveland Collinwood Feb. 2 at the Murdough Athletic Center.

Cam Withers led WRA with 22 points and Pamer finished with 21 points.

Hudson resident Cole Howard added 8 points and 14 rebounds for the Pioneers.

Host WRA posted a commanding 74-52 victory Cleveland Whitney Young Feb. 1.

Howard had 15 points and Parrott and Pamer added 14 and 11 points, respectively.

The Pioneers are scheduled to entertain Fuchs Mizrachi Feb. 8 in Beachwood. Tip-off is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.

Reserve is set to visit Linsly Feb. 10 in Wheeling, W. Va. Game time is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.

WRA is set to entertain Garrettsville James A. Garfield Feb. 11. Tip-off is scheduled for 2:30 p.m.
