The Western Reserve Academy boys basketball team's six game-winning streak came to a heartbreaking end.
The Pioneers suffered a 54-53 defeat to Kiski Feb. 3 in Saltsburg, Pa.
Up 53-52, Reserve turned the ball over and then committed a foul. Kiski missed the front end of a one-and-one situation, but New Jersey Institute of Technology recruit Shawndale Jones scored the game-winning bucket on a putback with 5 seconds left.
Hudson resident Michael Pamer led WRA (10-7) with 16 points and Wajdi Ahemed and Cooper Parrott contributed 13 and 11 points, respectively, for the Pioneers.
