The Hudson boys and girls bowling teams lost to Suburban League rival Wadsworth Jan. 10 at Charger Lanes in Norton.
The boys lost 2,461-2,141 and the girls suffered a 1,894-1,555 defeat.
Sam Karman led the Explorer boys (4-3, 4-3) with scores of 212 and 204, respectively. Joseph Horsch added games of 161 and 192 and Logan Loeffler bowled a 198.
The Hudson girls (1-6, 1-6) were led by Gina Grimaldi (120 and 142). Also bowling two games for the Lady Explorers were Lauren Malaska (123 and 117), Katie Titmas (127 and 104) and Jackie Smith (102 and 123).
The Hudson junior varsity boys posted a 1,584-1,432 win.
Dillon Muccino led the way with games of 177 and 153 and Austin Fernando was next for Hudson with scores of 164 and 132.
The Lady Explorers' JV squad posted a 1,568-1,342 victory. Mikayla Cohen had the high game of 199.
The Hudson boys varsity team finished ninth with a score of 3,823 at the 2017 Falcon Classic Jan. 7 at Legend Lanes in Cuyahoga Falls.
Nordonia won the 16-team competition with a score of 4,318. Stow-Munroe Falls (4,200) and Eastlake North (4,123) placed second and third, respectively.
Karman led the Explorers with a three-game 645 series. Also competing for Hudson were Horsch (41st, 540), Rhami Shiyab (48th, 526), Noah Twigg (50th, 514) and Andrew Brechtelsbauer (58th, 481).
The Hudson girls finished ninth out of nine teams with a score of 2,421. Stow-Munroe Falls won the competition with a score of 3,731 and Fairport Harbor Fairport Harding (3,679) and Copley (3,432) placed second and third, respectively.
Alyssa Germano led the Lady Explorers with a 415 series.
Also competing for Hudson were Celia Manders (356) and Savannah Bradenburg (340).
Both teams were scheduled to bowl against Suburban League foe Tallmadge Jan. 12 at Stonehedge Lanes in Akron. Results were not available press time.
The boys' squad is set to compete against league rival Brecksville-Broadview Heights Jan. 17 at Cloverleaf Lanes in Independence.
Both teams are scheduled to bowl against Solon Jan. 19 at Roseland Lanes in Oakwood Village. Both matches are set to begin at 4 p.m.
