The host Hudson volleyball team lost to Suburban League National Conference rival Brecksville-Broadview Heights 25-12, 25-11, 25-12 in its regular-season finale Oct. 13 at Ray "Buck" Hyser Gymnasium.
Dani Turner led the Lady Explorers (8-13), who finished 5-9 in the National Conference, with eight kills.
Regina Alvarez had four kills and two blocks and Alena Madar finished with six service points, two kills and one dig for Hudson.
Also contributing for the Lady Explorers were Lindsay Sadler (14 assists and six digs), Nina Disandis (14 digs) and Amelia Hoffmeier (10 digs).
Hudson has been battling injuries throughout the season. Outside hitter Emily Warfield and setter Lorenza Chiarappa have been out with injuries and prior to the match with Brecksville, libero Kendall Mackay suffered a head injury and did not play.
The Lady Explorers received the fourth seed at the Stow-Munroe Falls Division I sectional-district tournament.
They are scheduled to play 12th-seeded Akron East in a sectional semifinal contest Oct. 18 at James G. Tyree Gymnasium. Play is set to begin at 6:30 p.m.
