The Tallmadge football team's losing streak has reached five games.

The Blue Devils fell to 2-6 overall and 0-4 in the Suburban League American Conference after losing to Highland 49-6 Oct. 14 at Thomas Rossiaky Stadium.

The Hornets improved to 5-3 overall and 1-2 in the American Conference.

Senior running back Chris Burnside scored four touchdowns for Highland, which had a 28-0 lead at halftime. He had TD rushes of 3, 8, 1 and 5, respectively.

Junior quarterback Matthew Earnst completed a 62-yard scoring pass to junior wide receiver Ryan Frederick and junior backup QB Landon Mazzocco added a 4-yard TD run for the Hornets.

Highland's final TD came from junior running back Jacob Hotes, who scored from 4 yards away late in the game.

The Blue Devils got their lone points early in the fourth quarter.

Sophomore quarterback Sam Seeker completed a 21-yard scoring pass to sophomore running back Rich Eyre.
