The Western Reserve Academy boys soccer team improved to 5-6-2 on the season after posting a 4-1 victory over Cardinal Mooney Oct. 1 in Youngstown.

The Pioneers had a 2-1 lead at halftime.

Justin Campana scored twice for Reserve and Sammy Weber and Jack Sovich each scored once for WRA.

Daniel Delgado-Cruz added an assist and Pioneers' goalkeeper Josh Weinberg finished with four saves in the nets.

Both teams had five shots on goal and Reserve had an 8-1 advantage in corner kicks.

The Pioneers are scheduled to visit Hawken Oct. 6 in Gates Mills.

Play is set to begin at 5 p.m.

Reserve is set to host University (Hunting Valley) Oct. 8 at 3 p.m.
