The Greenmen, who finished the season with a 20-9 record, were ahead 1-0 heading into the top of the seventh inning, when the Explorers tied the count.

A.J. Kimes started the game and pitched well for seven innings, then yielded to reliever Adam Long in the eighth. The Explorers rallied for three runs in the eighth to advance to Friday's regional finals against Massillon Jackson. Long was the losing pitcher.
