The Hudson boys lacrosse team finished the regular season with a 12-4 record after posting a lopsided 16-5 victory over Kent Roosevelt May 16 at Hudson Memorial Stadium.

It was the Explorers' fifth consecutive victory.

At one point, the Rough Riders (10-5) had a 2-1 lead early in the game.

That advantage vanished in the blink of an eye.

Hudson took command by outscoring Kent 9-1 the rest of the period to take a 10-3 lead.

At that point, the Explorers started to empty their bench and didn't look back the rest of the way.

Mick Mougey led Hudson with three goals and one assist and Bo Lori had three goals, including a nifty-behind-the-head goal in the first quarter.

Brent Zubal and Sam Gregory each had two goals and Zach Nye finished with one goal and one assist.

Also finding the nets once apiece for the Explorers were Kyle Ator, Reid Robinson, Grant Elffers, Gabe Vehar and Chris Motter, who also had a team-high 12 ground balls and 15 face-off wins in 18 attempts.

Michael Charlton added two assists and Matt Rightnour had one assist.

Hudson had a 58-19 advantage in ground balls and a 43-13 edge in shots on goal.
