The Hudson baseball team improved to 9-1 after posting a 5-0 victory over Midview April 19 in Grafton.

The Explorers scored one run in the first, third and sixth innings, respectively, and two runs in the seventh.

Hudson finished with 10 hits and no errors. Midview had seven hits and one error.

Jared Hoffman got the win on the mound to improve to 3-0 on the season.

Joey Cahill had three hits, including a double, two runs batted in and a stolen base to lead Hudson.

Braden Wright added two hits, including a triple, two runs scored and two stolen bases for the Explorers.

Host Hudson earned a commanding 12-0 win against Chardon April 17 at The Ballpark at Hudson.

The game was called after 4-1/2 innings due to the 10-run mercy rule. The Explorers scored 10 runs in the first inning and two more in the second.

Hudson finished with 10 hits and zero errors. Chardon had two hits and three errors.

Right-hander Nanak Saran got the win for the Explorers to move to 3-0. He also had a double, two runs scored and a run batted in.

Andrew Karpinski also had a double, three RBIs and a run scored for the Explorers.

Hudson was scheduled to host Northeast Ohio Conference Valley Division rival Twinsburg April 22. Results were not available at press time.

The Explorers are set to visit Dodge Middle School to play Twinsburg April 23 at 4:30 p.m. Hudson is scheduled to head to Youngstown to play Boardman April 25 at 5 p.m.

The Explorers are set to entertain Nordonia April 26 at 11 a.m.
