Both the Aurora varsity baseball and softball teams split doubleheaders on Saturday.

Uniontown Lake beat Aurora 10-5 in the first baseball game and the Greenmen topped Lake 5-2 in the second.

A.J. Kimes was the winning pitcher, while Luke Calcei was the losing pitcher in the two games.

Bubba Arslanian  and Josh Andexler were among the offensive standouts for the Greenmen, who are now 8-4 overall for the season.

The softball team beat Akron Hoban 10-0 behind the stellar pitching of Nicole Doyle. She struck out 15 batters and slugged a home run, along with a homer by Devan Ternai.

In the second game, Hoban prevailed 8-2 as Liz Kimson was the losing pitcher. The Greenmen are 3-2 overall for the season.
