The Hudson boys tennis team improved to 2-3 after posting a 3-2 victory over Aurora in an Ohio Tennis Coaches Association match April 11 at Western Reserve Racquet and Fitness Club in Streetsboro.
Dominic Polifrone earned a 6-7 (7-5), 6-2, 6-3 win at first singles for the Explorers, who won their second consecutive match.
Hudson's doubles teams of Michael Wolowiecki and Jack Graham (6-2, 6-3) and Ari Basu and Chris Palmann (6-3, 6-3) also cruised to straight-set victories.
The Explorers picked up their first win of the season April 10 on the road.
Hudson posted a 4-1 victory over St. Edward in Lakewood.
Dominic Polifrone (6-3, 6-1) and Graham (6-4, 6-1) won at first and second singles, respectively.
The Explorers' doubles teams of Basu and Nicci Polifrone (6-0, 6-1) and Joe Murphy and Palmann (6-0, 6-2) also cruised to easy victories.
Hudson was scheduled to host Cleveland St. Ignatius April 15 before heading to Strongsville for a Northeast Ohio Conference showdown April 16. Results of those matches were not available at press time.
The Explorers are set to visit NOC Valley Division rival Mentor April 16 before returning home to play Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy April 17.
Both matches are scheduled to take place at 4 p.m.
