Despite chilly temperatures, the Greenmen varsity baseball team ventured to Louisville in Stark County and extended its early season win streak to four games, winning the first game 5-2 and the second 9-4 on Saturday.

In the first game, A.J. Kimes pitched five innings and allowed 2 runs for the victory. Griff Petersen pitched the final two innings for a save. Nick Ely had three hits and Matt Carpenter had two to lead the offense.

In the second game, Tom Branstein and Ben Stawicki each had two singles and two RBI. Luke Calcei was the winning pitcher.

Meanwhile, the Aurora boys and girls track teams both finished fifth out of 11 teams at the eighth annual Don Faix Invitational at Crestwood High School.

For the boys, Brandon Zamary won the shotput at 45 feet for the Greenmen's only first-place finish.

Stow-Munroe Falls won both the boys and girls team championships.
