Aurora High School's girls and boys basketball teams were defeated in weekend action.

The girls dropped to 2-5 in the Chagrin Valley Conference and 2-14 overall after a 51-42 loss to Kenston on a snowy Saturday afternoon. Hanna Garnek led the way with 13 points, while Syarra Sellers added 7.

Meanwhile, the boys slipped to 3-4 in the CVC and 5-10 overall after a 61-40 loss to Chagrin Falls, which is tied for the Chagrin Division lead with Kenston.

Kyle Fayne and Paul Kollat each had 10 points for the Greenmen, while Joe Dinardo added 9 points.

The boys are scheduled to play Painesville Harvey on Tuesday, but extremely cold weather threatens postponement of that game.
