The host Hudson tennis team improved to 4-1 on the season with a 4-1 victory over Avon in an Ohio Tennis Coaches Association match April 17.

Dominic Polifrone (6-0, 6-2) and Michael Wolowiecki (6-0, 6-0) won at second and third singles, respectively, for the Explorers.

Hudson's doubles team of Brian Kemper and Ben Tiemann (6-2, 6-2) and Jack Graham and Alec Denny (6-0, 6-1) also had little trouble in their matches.

The host Explorers earned a 5-0 victory over NOC foe Twinsburg April 15.

Steven Boslet (6-0, 6-1), Polifrone (6-3, 6-2) and Wolowiecki (6-1, 6-0) rolled in singles' play and Hudson's doubles teams of Kemper and Aryah Basu (6-1, 6-2) and Tiemann and Denny (6-2, 2-6, 6-2) also triumphed.

The Explorers were scheduled to visit Walsh Jesuit April 18 and Cincinnati Sycamore at Springside Racquet Club in Akron. Results of those matches were not available at press time.

They are set to host NOC Valley Division rival Shaker Heights April 22 before heading to Hunting Valley to play University April 23. Hudson is scheduled to visit Valley Division foe Medina April 24. All three matches are set to begin at 4 p.m.
