The Cuyahoga Falls Oktoberfest Committee would like to thank the wonderful citizens of Cuyahoga Falls and surrounding areas that attended the 2017 Sommerfest presented by the Cuyahoga Falls Oktoberfest Committee this last weekend.

The Oktoberfest Committee is a non-profit organization comprised entirely of volunteers that work hard all year long, each year, planning the annual German-American festival, as well as three other annual events. Proceeds raised from each event goes back to various charities and organizations within Cuyahoga Falls and other local communities. Our events would not be possible without the partnerships of our generous sponsors, patience from our families, and support from our friends, volunteers, and the community that these events serve.

A huge thank you goes out to the Mayor and various departments in the city of Cuyahoga Falls for their continued assistance and support of our Oktoberfest organization. Thank you to the Cuyahoga Falls Police Department that patrols our events to keep everyone safe, and the Boy Scout troops that pick up trash and recycling. We could not do it without you. Thank you to the food and craft/retail vendors, and the musicians that join us each year. You all share your delicious menus, wonderful products, and unique talents with us and we are grateful to have you all be a part of our celebration.

We had so much fun and look forward to the completion of the downtown transformation next year so we can go back to having our traditional Oktoberfest. Please check out our website and "like" our Cuyahoga Falls Oktoberfest page on Facebook to keep up with all of our events and activities within the community. Our next event is our 19th Annual Dick Holle Charity Golf Outing that benefits the Falls Cancer Club. We hope to see you there. Gemtlichkeit!
