As the event leads for this year's American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Stow Munroe Falls and Hudson, we would like to thank everyone for their generosity and support. This year, 24 teams participated in our Relay and raised over $89,000 to support the American Cancer Society's mission of saving lives from cancer. We are extremely proud of our community for standing up to cancer to finish the fight.

We were proud to welcome Jeanette Ladner as our survivor ambassador and all of the cancer survivors, who walked the opening lap and inspired those currently battling cancer. Our luminaria ceremony showed the community's warmth and strength in honoring those who are no longer with us.

We would like to thank the event leadership committee, team captains and participants who worked to make this year's event a success. We certainly want to thank all of our corporate sponsors for their support which made surpassing our goal a reality. In addition, we want to thank Stow Glen Retirement Village for hosting our event again this year, Ron Jones for being our master of ceremonies throughout the day and Marsha McKenna and Record Publishing for helping us publicize our event.

The 2018 Relay For Life event leadership team will be forming soon. Together, we can help create a world where cancer never steals another year from anyone's life.
