Recently, Sagamore Hills township was contacted by a group of parents from Nordonia called "Team Tessa." Their objective is to raise money for the Puma family. Team Tessa is sponsoring a 5K run/walk at Sagamore Hills Township Park on April 29 from 9 a.m. to noon.
One hundred percent of the money raised will go to Tessa Puma. Tessa is a 6-year-old kindergartner, who a couple weeks ago was dancing. Today, Tessa is recovering from a rare complication of strep throat, which led to an infection that resulted in the amputation of one leg.
The Easter season is about sacrifice and giving. "Team Tessa" is asking all in Nordonia who want to donate money to join this event April 29. Those who cannot attend, but want to donate, should make a check out to Mr. and Mrs. Puma, and send it to "Team Tessa" in care of Sagamore Hills Township, 11551 Valley View Road, Sagamore Hills, 44067. Township Administrator David Hayes and Township Fiscal Officer Scott Gale will see that "Team Tessa" receives the donation April 29.
God Bless Tessa Puma and her family.
