What a beautiful day, Saturday March 25, 2017, for the Rotary Park Lake 5K walk and race. The sun was out and bright - no snow or rain.
I had never been down by the lake. It felt good walking down and up the path around the lake. Fast paced runners ran past, then I saw them run another path up steep hills and down. I never knew the last hill I was to climb was going to be a very steep, rocky path. I started up and knew I couldn't make it. Suddenly a strong arm grabbed my arm and took me up this steep grade. We went up the hill and down again to the park building. Just as we approached the building, a nice gentleman grabbed by right arm.
My guardian angel was Beth Wilson. Thank you, Beth. I received a wonderful trophy - The Nature Lover Award.
