On behalf of the Stow-Munroe Falls Community Foundation, I would like to personally thank the residents of Stow and Munroe Falls for their outstanding support of our inaugural Pizza Palooza that was held at the high school this Jan. 29.

Over 2,000 residents enjoyed pizza from 11 outstanding pizza shops, scrumptious desserts, face painting, bounce houses, balloon artist and were able to visit with one of Stow's finest, Erik Dirker with one of our own Stow police canines.

Our esteemed judges for this event were Marsha McKenna (Record Publishing Co.), Dave Licate (School Board) and our very own Stow celebrity- firefighter Sandy Ray.

I would also like to recognize my fellow outstanding committee members who devoted an enormous amount of time to this wonderful event: Gary Aleman (committee chair), Julie Root, Brian D'Antonio, Bill Flinta, Annie Hanson and foundation president Marty Tass.

This event could have not been possible without the cooperation of Stow-Munroe Falls City Schools Superintendent Tom Bratten and Business Manager Mark Fritz. Also, kudos go out to the Stow-Munroe Falls High School students who volunteered their Sunday afternoon to help us make this such a successful event.

All proceeds from this event will divided between the Stow-Munroe Falls Community Foundation and the Stow-Munroe Falls City School District. We are looking forward into the future to hear from the superintendent on the special gift to the school system that this money that has been raised from this event will be directed to. Stay tuned.

We are already planning for next year to bring you another fun-filled Pizza Palooza event that promises to be bigger and better.

On behalf of all the board members of the Stow-Munroe Falls Community Foundation we thank you for your support.
