On Nov. 8, voters in the Woodridge

Local School District will have the opportunity to support a renewal levy, Issue 46.

This is not a new tax, but it is crucial to maintaining district operations for the next 10 years.

The 6.67-mill measure will raise $3 million annually and will be used for day-to-day operating expenses such as transportation, supplies and textbooks, utilities, salaries and benefits, and other areas that benefit the students of the district. Voters originally passed the levy in November 2012.

Residents have been very supportive of their public schools, and a vote "FOR" the renewal levy on Nov. 8 will continue that tradition.

Strong schools make for strong communities.
