To help voters make an informed decision at the polls on Nov. 8, the Stow Sentry will be offering a Levy Line regarding the school district's proposed permanent improvement fund levy and the city of Munroe Falls' proposed income tax increase and two tax levies.

The school district is seeking voter approval of a continuing 1.99-mill permanent improvement fund levy that will be used for repairs and improvements; the funds cannot be used for operating expenses such as salaries.

The city of Munroe Falls is seeking voter approval of an increase in the income tax to 2.25 percent from its present 2 percent. The two tax levies are for a five-year, 2.8-mill police levy and a 10-year 2-mill levy for capital improvements.

Readers are encouraged to submit their questions about the proposed tax increase to the Stow Sentry. The questions will be submitted to the administrations of the school district and Munroe Falls who will provide answers to be published.

When submitting questions, please include your name and a daytime phone number in case we have any questions; this information will not be included in the questions submitted to be answered nor will the information be published.

The deadline for questions to be considered for each week's issue is 5 p.m. on Tuesdays. The last issue the Levy Line will appear in will be Oct. 23; no questions will be accepted after 5 p.m. Oct. 18.

You can send your questions to Stow Sentry, 1050 W. Main St., Kent 44240; email to; or submit them on the Stow Sentry's Facebook page.
