We would

like to publicly thank the thousands of people who came to the inaugural Tallmadge Food Truck Festival June 1. The event was well-received and has generated a lot of positive feedback. We think the only negative comments heard was when the trucks ran out of food before the event was over. The band did a great job and the weather was gorgeous, which helped people stay and sample food.

We would especially like to thank event sponsor Thompson and Hummel Insurance/SafeCo Insurance; prime sponsors, Speelman Electric, Steere Enterprises, Rine Agency, Park Ford and the Tallmadge Express; and choice sponsor, Delta Asphalt. Their generosity allowed us to host this event at little expense to the city of Tallmadge.

We'd also like to thank Chamber of Commerce volunteers selling pop for charity, the Boy Scout Troops who helped with clean up and the Tallmadge Recreation Center staff who came out to help with set up, tear down and kids games. Chamber was able to raise more than $2,000 to support college scholarships other Tallmadge community charities.

Thanks once again to everyone who came or helped with the event. See you next year.
