I would like to

send my heartfelt thanks to all of the Hudson families that contributed their time and donations to a successful event at The Boys and Girls Club of Cleveland Dec. 27. With generous donations we were able to put together a wonderful and memorable day for over 130 kids over their Christmas break. I would also like to thank each of the Hudson merchants that donated to this event as we could not have done this without their help. It's a great tribute to this community to have so many businesses willing to help sponsor an event like this outside of our community.

Main Street Cupcakes - thanks for your amazing cupcakes.

Hudson City Schools - thanks for the school bus.

Hudson Athletic Booster Club - thanks for the drinks and snacks.

Pizza BOGO of Hudson - thanks for helping to feed the volunteers.

ACME Fresh Market - thanks for helping with the 100 helium balloon.

ESPN Cleveland/WKNR 850AM - thanks for your generous donation of event tickets.

JoAnn Fabrics - thanks for the over 140 blanket kits and craft items.

And thanks to the following merchants for their generous donations: The Learned Owl, Great Clips of Hudson, KGK Gardening and Design, Jump Start Sports, and Summit Insurance Agency.

Also a personal thanks to everyone from Jeff Haynes, the club director at the Boys and Girls Club of Cleveland/Broadway Club. The kids at the club are still talking about their special day, and the many donations will allow the Club to purchase something "special" for their facility.

My hope is that everyone, especially Hudson kids, who volunteered will be inspired to continue to give back time and talent to those in need.

Thanks to everyone and Happy New Year.

Marylee Maendler,
