THUMBS UP ... to the Woodridge High School boys' cross country team for winning its sixth state championship in the last seven years. The Bulldogs won the Division II state meet on Nov. 3 with 83 points and finished well ahead of runner-up Defiance (109 points). We commend coach Jeff Howard and his squad of runners for working hard, persevering and achieving a championship that all of them can savor for years to come.
