Lindsay Ann Wagner, fondly known by loved ones as "Z-Dawg," passed away after a lifelong battle with Cystic Fibrosis October 30, 2017. She was 40 years old, courageously and vibrantly living beyond what was to be expected.
Lindsay graduated from St. Vincent-St. Mary High School (1995) and went on to earn her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from The University of Akron. She worked for many years at the Summit County Children’s Services Board, giving selflessly to families in crisis until her body would not allow her to continue. She went on to serve others through volunteering and helping out where she could, despite great personal risk.
Lindsay loved spending money and time with her friends and family. Most important in her life was her love for her mother, Pamela (Gilbride) Wagner. She relished watching her nephews, Kurt and Jack Wagner, grow up and become young adults. She valued time spent with her wonderful boyfriend, Bryce Calvin, who helped her make the most of her last years. She loved vacations and laughter with her brother and sister-in-law, Eric and Carri Wagner. Her parents, Fred and Pamela Wagner, were her constant source of strength. She always enjoyed the company and support of her uncle, Tim and aunt Donna Gilbride along with her cousins, Jen, Carrie, Joe and Molly Gilbride, and Shannon (Skehan) Fuerst.
Lindsay had an unforgettable laugh and left an indelible mark on everyone she met. She was proud of her Delta Gamma friendships and was grateful for the tireless efforts of her sorority sister, Michelle Ruhlin-Dietrich.
She will be reunited in heaven with her brothers, Curt Andrew and Terrance Patrick. Curt is sure to have his "nickels-or-better" poker tournament commencing upon her arrival. She will also join her grandparents, Marcella & Ralph Gilbride and Helen & Fred Wagner Sr.
Calling hours were held November 3, at Ciriello & Carr Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated November 4th at Holy Family Catholic Church. Interment was at Holy Cross Cemetery.
