Violet Patricia Bulone (nee Scalia), age 90, went home to the Lord on Saturday, July 8, 2017.

Violet was born March 17, 1927, in Chicago, IL. She was the sixth of seven daughters of Agostino Scalia and Santa Schalaba. Violet moved to Cleveland when she married her husband, Mike, in 1946. Violet had a fun-loving, generous spirit and was often the life of the party. While raising her family, she held many jobs, working for Jack & Heintz, Mr. Coffee and ultimately retiring from Technicare, where she was known for making elaborate birthday cakes for her fellow employees. Violet was a founding member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Bedford Heights. She enjoyed crocheting, baking, and bowling. She and Mike regularly attended the Bedford Heights Seniors and were members of the Italian Sons and Daughters of America (ISDA) Avanti Lodge. In her later years, Violet resided at Light of Hearts Villa, where she was cared for by the wonderful aids and nurses who became her extended family. Loving care was also provided by Hospice of the Western Reserve.

Violet was preceded in death by her husband, Mike, of 68 years, as well as sisters Angeline, Lucille and Eleanor. She is survived by sisters Jean, Nina and Carol (Dolly), all of Chicago, IL, by her children Dennis (Linda), Gregory (Susan), Patricia Numbers (Scott), grandchildren Michael (Jennifer), Joseph (Heather), Andrew Numbers (Lyndsay), Emily Numbers, as well as 5 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received from 2-6 PM Sunday at JOHNSON-ROMITO FUNERAL HOME, 99 WEST AURORA ROAD (ONE MILE WEST OF RT. 8) NORTHFIELD CENTER, OH (330) 468-1443 and from 9-10 AM Monday, July 17, 2017 at Light of Hearts Villa, 283 Union Street, Bedford, OH where Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 AM. Interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery.
