Leta M. Stadler of Stow and formerly Cuyahoga Falls, passed away unexpectedly Monday, May 1st. Leta was born March 17, 1924 to Dr. Lorenzo and Helen Nelson of the Plains, OH where she graduated from The Plains High School and attended Ohio University in Athens.

Leta married Arthur Stadler in 1950 and shortly after moved to Cuyahoga Falls. While raising their 4 children, she worked part-time as a secretary and later in life at the Quirk Cultural Center. She became active in the community by serving as a member of the PTA when her children attended Crawford Elementary. She found a love for gardening through the River Estates Garden Club and as a member of the Women's Art League, she was able to enrich her love of painting and sketching. Her favorite subjects were lighthouses, parks and our local landmarks.

She was preceded in death by her husband Arthur Stadler, brothers; Dow, Charles and Bob Nelson. She is survived by her children; Arthur (Barb), Charles (Jeanne), Lori Ruttenberg (Donald) and Jodi McGee (Donald). Eight grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will take place at 11 a.m., Friday, June 2 at the United Presbyterian Church, 2819 Hudson Dr., Cuyahoga Falls, OH. 44221. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Akron Women's Art League, PO Box 983, Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44223.
