Had a long law career

A celebration of life will take place Aug. 8 at 3 p.m. at the Church in Aurora for Robert T. Williams, 87, who died June 20, 2014.

Born May 26, 1927, in Youngs-town, he was the son of Arthur H. and Dorothy (Brenner) Williams. He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving in the Pacific on the S.S. Valencia. In 1954, he received his juris doctorate degree from Youngstown State University.

He and his family moved to Aurora in 1965, and he practiced law in Cleveland as a partner in the law firm of Silber, Pickus and Williams, and in 1992 retired from his legal career as general counsel for National City Corp.

He was a member of the Church in Aurora for nearly 50 years, and contributions to the church in his name are welcome.

Survivors include his sons Robert (Marcia Fagan), Scott (Laura Hintelmann) and Lee (Johan Fatemi); grandchildren Evan (Jaclyn Beesley), Thomas, Helena and Kylie; and older brother Arthur and younger sister Joan Anderson.

Arrangements were handled by Johnson Romito Funeral Home in Hudson.
