Longtime local resident

A memorial service will take place Aug. 23 at 10:30 a.m. at the Church in Aurora for longtime Aurora resident Roger C. Pease, who died July 4, 2014 at the age of 93.

He served in the U.S. Army during Wold War II in the China-Burma-India Theater as a motion picture cameraman.

After many years in California, he and his family moved to Aurora, and Mr. Pease worked as the product and marketing manager for Filmco, from where he retired in 1987.

His activities in Aurora included many years of singing in the choir at the Church in Aurora, Kiwanis Club and Aurora Community Theatre, where he produced several plays in the 1970s.

He is preceded in death by his first wife Carolyn (Carmack) Pease and second wife Edna (Eddie) Erwin Pease. Survivors include his son Scott, daughter-in-law Kim (Jorgensen) Pease, granddaughters Nichole and Corey and great-grandchildren Olivia and Maddox Hearn.
