Lance Henry, 53, a former longtime Hudson resident, died April 10, 2014.

A native Californian, Mr. Henry moved to Ohio in the late 1980s and settled with his family in Hudson for more than a decade.

Mr. Henry was an accomplished machine salesman and training supervisor. He also was a music lover who enjoyed playing the guitar and singing as he strummed. In particular, he enjoyed time with his family, whether it was neighborhood walks, weekend outings to points across Ohio and beyond, Sunday church services or cheering on his children as they played soccer, danced in recitals, practiced gymnastics or the cello, and everything in between.

Mr. Henry was bright, industrious and a self-taught do-it-yourselfer with an endearing playful side. He will be remembered most for the many cherished moments spent with his children, Matthew Henry and Paige Henry, whom he leaves behind and whom he loved dearly.

Mr. Henry, who also leaves behind his niece, Sarah (Henry) Franey, of Lenwood, California, was the son of the late Thomas Henry and Barbara (Booth) Henry and brother to siblings Cyndel, Jeffery and Mark.

A memorial service will be held at Hudson Springs Park, Clark Pavilion, at 5 p.m., June 23. Family friends are welcomed.
