Former Hudson resident Jean Francis Alstott, 90, died Feb. 12, 2014 at the Justin T. Rogers Hospice in Fairlawn.

Mrs. Alstott was born in Chicago to Samuel and Phyllis Gaylord on June 11, 1923. She attended Hudson Schools and Park College in Maryland.

She lived in Hudson for more than 80 years and was known by many as "The Bicycle Lady." The people of Hudson were very kind to her and she loved living there, according to a family member. She enjoyed playing piano and reading.

Mrs. Alstott was preceded in death by her husband John, her parents Samuel and Phyllis (Dolly) Gaylord, and her sister Rosemary.

She is survived by her daughter Jacqueline (William) Edwards, her son Jeffrey, her brothers John, Samuel, and Richard Gaylord, and her sister Phyllis. She is also survived by three grandsons David, Jonathon and Kyle and her four great grand-daughters Hannah, Madison, Sophia, and Samantha.

A private service will be at Adams Mason Funeral Home.
