100-year-old resident
Services were Jan. 6 at Steinbauer Funeral Home in Solon for Aurora resident Edna Langmyer, 100, who died Dec. 30, 2013.
She was born June 25, 1913 in Pennsylvania and lived there the first year of her life, but had lived for 89 of her 100 years in Aurora. At one time, Mrs. Langmyer owned a own beauty salon called Town and Country in Solon.
She was married to Frank Langmyer for 68 years, and was the daughter of the late Pearl and Arthur Aston, sister of the late Ruby and a cherished friend of many.
She was an avid golfer, enjoyed dancing, playing bridge (most recently with the Aurora Seniors and at the Bainbridge Senior Center) and bingo, and was a member of the Red Hatters Club and Order of the Eastern Star.
