Services were Jan. 30 at Regina Health Care Center for Macedonia resident Virgil L. Steinmetz. Mr. Steinmetz, 90, died Jan. 26.

Mr. Steinmetz was born Nov. 22, 1922, in Mansfield to Laurance and Bertha Steinmetz, both deceased.

He was a foreman in the manufacturing industry and was married to Ruth C. (nee Roch). Mr. Steinmetz was the father of Mark, Greg (Linda), Cindy Trautzsch (Tom) and Beth Valentino (Vince).

He was the brother of Marcella Huck, Rita Pasheilich, Ruby Freiheit, all deceased.

He was the brother-in-law of Ron (Mary) Roch and Adam Freiheit, and the following deceased: John Huck, Peter Pasheilich, Joseph Voland, Louis Gondek, Martha Voland and Evelyn Gondek.

He had eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Mr. Steinmetz and his wife were long time members of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Macedonia.

He retired as a foreman from Gibson-Homans Co.

He then spent much of his retirement as a substitute bus driver for the Nordonia Hills Schools, driving until he was 80.

He was an avid, excellent golfer, playing well into his 80's. Mr. Steinmetz and his wife enjoyed many trips with good friends.

Burial was at All Saints Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions in Mr. Steinmetz's name be made to Regina Health Care Center, 5232 Broadview Road in Richfield, 44286.
