Naomi J. Hunnell, 85, died Jan. 27, 2013.

Born in Akron on Sept. 9, 1927 to the late Carl and Mildred Walter, Mrs. Hunnell grew up in Akron and was a 1945 graduate of North High School. She was a longtime member of the Stow Community Church and in her early years, worked in the corporate offices of Lawson's. She was an accomplished vocalist, singing with: the Mother Singers, Village Belles, Cuyahoga Falls Community Chorus, Forever Harmony, the Old Spice Trio and the Stow Community Church Choir.

Mrs. Hunnell was preceded in death by her husband Russ. She is survived by her children, Michael (Sandra) Hunnell, Carol Sue (Gary) Koehler, and Patrick Hunnell; brother Albert (Yvonne) Walter and sister Carol Ann (Don) Tuck; grandchildren Michael, Scott, and Kimberly Hunnell and Steve (Tricia) Watson, Stephanie (Lyle) MacAdam, and Stacie Harvey; and 12 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service was at the Anthony Funeral Home -- McGowan Reid and Santos in Cuyahoga Falls.
