Zelmia Mae Wolford Watson, 68, of Northfield Village, passed away peacefully Dec. 16, 2012 in the intensive care unit of South Pointe Hospital in Warrensville Heights.

Mrs. Watson was born July 27, 1944 at Coalton, WVa., the daughter of Hollis and Rebecca Broschart Wolford, both deceased. She married Alan James Watson on Oct. 10, 1970.

She was the mother of Martha (William) Jones of Stow, and the sister of Georgia Shreves, deceased, Joanne Mixon of Charleston, S.C., Susie (Cohen) Gaskins of Alvin, S.C., "Bud" Wolford of Cortland, Ohio, Albert Kent (Alice) Wolford of Coalton, W.Va. and John "Bobby" (Pat) Wolford of Jacksonville, Ariz.

She was the grandmother of Zachary Hollis Watson, Katie Marie Jones and Megan Rebecca Jones, the great-grandmother of Aubray Heaven McIntire and Gabriel Michael Winston and the aunt of many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Watson was very active in her healthier days. She held several jobs, having worked for the telephone company, JC Penney, Lawson's and Wal-Mart. She enjoyed being with and helping people. She volunteered for numerous organizations, including the PTA, having served as president at her daughter's school. She was a troop leader for the Girl Scouts and served as president of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6768 Ladies Auxiliary.

She loved organizing many family reunions and events, reading mystery novels, and doing crafts. She attended many sporting events and activities which her daughter and grandchildren participated in and was their "Number 1 fan."

She peacefully rests in Phillips Cemetery in Jimtown,
