An avid OSU buckeyes fan

Calling hours for Erik Ohl Hilston, 47, of Aurora will be Jan. 31 from 3 to 4:30 p.m., at St. James Episcopal Church, 131 N. State St., Painesville,with a memorial service to follow.

Mother Vanessa Clark will officiate.

Mr. Hilston died Jan. 25, 2013, as a result of a motor vehicle accident in Aurora.

Born June 23, 1965 in Painesville, he was employed by the Canal Pointe Nursing and Rehab Center in Akron. A 1984 graduate of West Muskingum High School, he earned a bachelor of science degree in 1989 from Ohio State University, and earned his MBA degree in 2007 from Indiana Wesleyan University.

An avid OSU Buckeyes fan, he enjoyed cooking and brewing his own beer.

Survivors include his son Owen Hilston; daughter Sidney Hilston; mother Barbara Ohl Hilston; sister Carri (Rob) Jackson; maternal grandmother Esrea Ohl; and former wife Conni (Simpson) Hilston.

He was preceded in death by his father David George Hilston and maternal grandfather Frank Ohl.
