Bernadine Coletta Wykoff

Founding member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church

Bernadine Coletta Wykoff, 91, died on Dec. 23, 2012 at Heather Knoll in Tallmadge.

Born in Akron on Nov. 16, 1921, to the late Frank and Margaret Honeywell, Mrs. Wykoff had been a Cuyahoga Falls resident for more than 60 years. She was a 1939 graduate of St. Vincent High School and had worked for many years at the Cuyahoga Falls Country Place Care Center. Mrs. Wykoff was a founding member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, where she had volunteered as a sacristan. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Wykoff was preceded in death by her husband Eugene in 1976; daughter Diane Diss; grandson Jeff Diss; and sister Mary Marshall. She is survived by her children Bonnie (Ralph) Harwell of Tallmadge and Vincent (Lori) Wykoff of Cuyahoga Falls; grandchildren Matthew (Kathy) and Rachel Wykoff; and great-granddaughter Lilly.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Interment took place at Oakwood Cemetery. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Fr. McIntyre Fund c/o Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish, 1905 Portage Trail, Cuyahoga Falls 44223. McGowan-Reid and Santos Chapel, an Anthony Funeral Home, handled the arrangements.
