STERLING J. DEININGERServed on Falls City CouncilSterling J. Deininger, 79, died May 31, 2007. Born to the late John and Olga Geiger, he was later adopted and raised by the Rev. and Mrs. LeRoy Deininger.Mr. Deininger resided in Cuyahoga Falls, graduating from Hower High School. He was owner and operator of Akron Wheel Alignment. Mr. Deininger was honored as a life member of the Lion's International Club. He was the founder and driving force behind the coloring book sales and the Lion's Mint Program. Mr. Deininger was an active member of the Board of Trade for Akron and North Akron, serving as president in both organizations. He also served as a City Councilman in Cuyahoga Falls, acting as president for some time. He was a member of High Street Christian Church and Grandview United Methodist.Preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Larry and Jack Geiger, sisters, LaVerne DiPaolo, Jean Quimby and Lucille Gutzeit, his survivors include son, Tom Deininger; daughter, Joyce Luper; grandchildren, Alexa and Taylor Deininger and Ann and Brian Harvey; brother, Rolland Geiger; sisters, Olga Weimert, Frances Houska, Virginia Zelodec and Marie Smith; and longtime companion and wife, Mary Deininger.A memorial service will take place June 30 at 3 p.m. at Chapel Hill Christian Church, 1160 Howe Road, Cuyahoga Falls.
