The 45th Annual Mantua Potato Festival recently was held at Buchert Park in Mantua.

The Mantua Potato Festival is a non-profit organization. The festival was originally founded in 1938 but was discontinued during World War II. It was then re-established in 1973. For more than 43 years, members of the community have come together to bring the village this fun-filled event for all ages.

The annual festival features entertainment, live music, rides, the World’s Largest Pierogi II, Duke’s K-9 Dash N’ Splash, a parade, 50/50 drawing, corn hole tournament, potato sack race, bucket brigade contest, potato decorating contest, eating contests, coloring contests, a K-9 unit demonstration, and a Potato Festival Queen’s Contest, along with food and beverages.
